News years resolution of getting fit or trying something new? Wanting to be involved with a charity but not sure how? If you can answer yes to either, then join the Vet Books for Africa Cycle Team in the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge Ride for a Purpose 2016 . Kill two birds with one stone!
You don’t have to be a professional cyclist to join our team, just someone who is happy and willing to support our cause! This year we have 12 cyclists supporting us, and would love for you to help us make 2016 a few more. So gather your friends, and look out for entries opening around February/March 2016.
What you need to do to join our team: Just 3 simple steps…
1) Enter for the 2016 Race on www.cyclechallenge.co.za.
2) Send a request to join the Vet Books for Africa Team (We can only register our charity once we have the required minimum cyclists, so if you don’t see us yet don’t worry, simply register for the race only and email email@example.com , provide your name and ID/race number and click “ACCEPT” when you receive the invite to join our team.
3) Pledge to raise R800.00 for Vet Books for Africa, or if you are a student/U18 pledge for R500.00.
See, that easy :).
We encourage our cyclists however to try aim to raise more than R800.00, and as an incentive to do so we are hosting a competition where the rider who raises the most money for our charity for 2016 (minimum of R1500.00 is required to qualify for this prize) will win a surprise prize. The extra effort for a charity and a little extra reward for you. Sounds like a deal, right?
The Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge is a fun-filled family day that has grown year after year, especially with regards to its contribution to the various charities across the country. More than 180 charities enter for this event, which proves to be a day that not only tests your power of will and strength, but also one of extreme enjoyment, laughter, a sense of team work and the great feeling of triumph that accompanies you as you cross that finish line!
We hope to share all of those experiences, both good and tough, with you, to drive you to accomplish this well known top physical challenge and to have your support for the 2016 Vet Books for Africa.
