In exactly a month’s time we will be embarking on our mission up into Africa to deliver veterinary books and equipment to universities and charities in various African countries. After 2 years of hard work, fundraising and intense planning, we’re finally nearly there. It’s an exciting time for every one of us and we can’t wait to make a difference in the lives of both animals and people wherever we can.
Alongside visiting the veterinary libraries during our outreach, the Vet Books for Africa team would also be stopping by a number of charities, donating time as well as some items of need!
Below is a compilation of the wish lists of those charities- Should you like to make a contribution of any of these items for us to deliver through, it will certainly make a great difference!
The charities we plan to visit are:
The KSPCA (Kenya Society for the Protection and Care of Animals)
Chipembele Wildlife Education Trust
Wildlife Action Group
LSPCA (Lilongwe Society for the Protection and Care of Animals)
Mamoli Mission Mozambique
AWARE (Animal and Wildlife Area Research and Rehabilitation)

Welcome to the official Onderstepoort Vet Books for Africa website! This site functions as a platform through which the public can get a better idea on the work this veterinary student run committee does. It also acts as a gathering point at which students from previous trips can talk and maintain communication between the students, universities and other institutions visited.
